Up chuck activity!

During this activity what did you do to help make it work? If you where the only one that could talk what would you say to our class to get them to be successful?

  1. To help make this activity work, I just made sure to stay patient and just simply catch the ball because that's all you had to do. If I was the only one that could talk, I would keep motivating everyone to stay patient and to try to get through the activity successfully at least once.

  2. In order to make the activity work I tried to go to the people who dropped the ball and tell them it was ok even though I was really frustrated. If I were the only one who could talk i would try to cheer on the people and make sure they did not feel bad if they dropped the ball.

  3. In order to make this activity work for me personally, I made sure I was focused on the task at hand. I made sure I was always paying attention to when my partner was throwing the ball and I checked to make sure my partner was paying attention before I threw the ball. If I was the only one who could talk, I would probably tell them to stay focused because it truly was a simple task. People just started getting nervous when we got closer and closer to the end. Thus, I would try to reassure them.

  4. To make this activity work I made sure to focus and catch the ball and pay attention. I also made sure to be patient with everyone. If I was the only one that was taking I would say positive comments and tell everyone to pay attention. I also wouldn't say anything bad about anyone if they droped the ball and I would make sure everyone was calm.

  5. During the activity, I made sure that I was doing my own job for the class by catching the ball, and throwing the ball well to my partner. I also tried my best to keep my focus on the task at hand and to be patient even if we had to start over. If I were the only one talking, I would just encourage others and instruct everyone to focus as well.

  6. During the activity, I tried to focus my attention solely on the task at hand. If I was the only one that was able to talk, I would make sure that I delivered instructions in a clear manner as to ensure that there would be no confusion. I would also focus on being positive and not getting frustrated when balls were dropped.

  8. To help make this activity work I tried my best to stay focused even if people around me were talking, and I didn't get frusturated when someone dropped the ball because that wouldve only made it worse. If I were the only one who could talk I would encourage my classmates and keep them positive and make sure everyone was staying focused on the task.

  9. Focus was the biggest issue in this activity. Even if I were the only one talking, other people might zone off in their own little world and lose confidence in the activity. What we were doing in class (standing in two lines and tossing them back and forth) seemed successful enough, so I reuse that idea. As for me being the only one allowed to talk, I would keep repeating "one, two, three, throw" over and over to keep a steady rhythm. When someone would mess up I would encourage them instead of getting frustrated at them. Of course if they kept messing up, then I'd have to set things straight by either telling them to focus or something along those lines.

  10. During this activity i tried to stay focused on what i was doing and not get distracted by those around me. If i would have been the only one talking i would tell everyone else to focus on themselves and their partners.

  11. To be honest during this activity i was not as focused as i could have been. I was goofing off when i should have been focused. I wouldn't say anything to the class because i feel like i dont deserve to because if i were to speak to the class i would be a hypocrite because everything i'd be saying i would have already broke.

  12. To help make this activity work, I stayed calm and patient for our class to get through this task. I didn't get frustrated or mad whenever someone dropped the ball because that would've only made the situation worse, since everyone else was getting frustrated and were letting out annoying groans. If I was the only person who could talk, I would've encouraged the class to keep up the good work and just pay attention more. I would try to keep them positive so that they'll work hard to get the task done.

  13. During this activity, I remained calm and positive throughout and I listened to those who took charge. I tried to not get discouraged when someone did not catch the ball because I knew that we all needed to remain positive in order to complete our task. If I was the only person that could talk, I would try and keep the class calm and positive without getting discouraged. I would also encourage everyone to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude throughout the whole activity.

  14. Communicating with my partner and listening to what others on the other end were doing helped me personally. If only I could talk, I would most likely say for everyone to stay calm and stay focused.

  15. For me, as an individual, I was trying to concentrate my hardest and put effort, although I did get distracted once and literally dropped the ball. If I was the only one who could talk I would definitelky be counting out loud in a slow pace and I would have to be aware of people's attitudes to see if they need verbal motivation.

  16. I think the only way to make this work is to have everybody do what their supposed to do, the whole time. At the end we were getting a little distracted, which is easy to do. Thats exactly what i would say to the class if i was the only one that could speak.

  17. I tried to do my best in catching and throwing the ball when it came to be my turn. I don't know what I would say if I was the only one who could talk. Maybe try to keep the class focused on the task at hand. I feel like we all got a little distracted by the end.

  18. To try and be as successful as possible with this activity you had to be very patient. You had to keep in mind that if someone didn't catch the ball it wasn't that the weren't capable of it, they just made a mistake. Patience and keeping calm were key in this activity!

  19. During the activity, I was yelling 1,2,3,Throw! in order to help the class get all the balls in the air at the same time. If I was the onyl one that could talk I would tell everyone tobe patient and I would still yell in order for everyone to have the same timing.

  20. During the activity, I tried my best and made sure I was paying attention and on pace with everyone. If I was the only one that could talk during the activity then I would count 1,2,3 to let others know when to throw and make sure people added in balls.

  21. During this activity I did my best to stay focused on the task at hand. If I was to speak to the class I would say to have patients and to make sure you are paying attention. We all needed to be patient and understanding for those who accidentally messed up. Then we needed to get right back on track and start again. I think this is where we struggled as a whole getting back on track.

  22. During this activity I tried my hardest to stay focused and make sure it wasnt my fault that the group had to start over. Also I made sure I tried my best to have patience with the group because of how many times we had to start over. I had something to say it would maybe be to tell everyone that they had to focus on themselves and make sure they succeed for the entire group to suceed.

  23. I dont know what else could have made this activity better. I feel like our strategy was the best or close to what would work best. I still feel like its just a fact eventually going to drop the ball. just like when you walk every once in a while you trip. there is no guarantee that you cannot drop it, all you can do is try as hard as you can.
