How would you like us to keep you accountable for following our Full Value Contract? If there is no accountablility then there is no contract which could lead to many struggles for us in class.
We should have minor discussions now and again after we do activities (like how we talked about trust after the car activities)regarding how our progress is coming along. If we aren't meeting the expected criteria, then we should do something about it. As a group, we should brainstorm ideas and figure out what our weak points are. If we aren't doing a certain thing, such as trusting our partners in the car activity, then we should talk it out and tell each other why it was difficult and what we could do to improve.
The way I would like to be held responsible is if I'm not doing what I'm supposed to just flat out say it because it saves time, provides better communication and in my opinion builds stronger relationships. I mean it's a really simple thing to do and I feel like the reason why people are afraid to call others out is because they don't want to embarrass them in front of everyone or they are afraid the other person will lash back out at them.
I think that we should just talk about what we did wrong. It's easier when we talk about it because then we'll be able to express how the task went and what we're able to do to fix our mistakes. People shouldn't feel embarrassed when they're called out whenever they do a mistake because there's a high possibility that someone else might've done the same thing. I feel like just discussing as a group what our weak points are is a good thing because when we're going to do a task, it's easier to know what jobs we shouldn't assign to those certain people and that would ultimately allow us to get our job done faster.
I think the most effective way to be held accountable would be to discuss what went wrong and what went well in the activity we did. It would be easier to address the issue instead of leaving it ignored because we should stop it right at the beginning rather than letting it happen over and over again. This will make the year go a lot smoother and be more enjoyable. -Assunta De Pau
If someone is not sure how to do a certain value or responde to it, we should all go over it as a class and make sure everyone is on the same page, because if we aren't we could have some safety issues :/ Everyone should be able to agree to these values, so that we can all get through obstacles as a class with no negativity or major struggles. As a class, we are responsible for our actions, so ticking to these values would be a great help.
I think that after each activity we do, we could reflect on whether we meet the criteria for each value. We could also have accountability partners who keep us accountable for these values and use as people we can take advice from.
I think it is important that we all participate in group discussions after each activity that we do. This will give us time to reflect back on the values we think are most important as a class and if we are meeting them or not. At this time we can also discuss what we could do better next time if we are not living up to our expectations. This will keep us all on the same level of understanding of what we want to happen in this class. -Selby Rose
To have a more effective year I think its essential to be able to correct our mistakes by acknowledging them instead of letting them continue. Also have discussion break during an activity in which everyone participates and gives an idea or explain why something in the activity wont work. I also think there should be rewards ( fist pump or whatever) when someone follows all of our values correctly.
I think the best way to hold everyone accountable is to talk about what we did more during the class discussions and address the issues straight on, not neglecting them or sugar-coating them. If the class or a large portion of the class isn't following it, then we should take time out of the activity and address the issue rather than avoiding it until the end when there's no one can change what happened and get us all back onto the right track.
I think the best way to make sure everyone is held accountable is to make sure we discuss what happened everyday during the class activities. Have everyone express their opinions about everyone elses actions and also reflect on theirs since were all a team. When we reflect on what everyone did, we see if people followed our 5 contract words and what we could do better if something didnt work out too well. -Zoe Kempton
It would be best if we work together prior to an activity and after to figure out what values we need and what values we lacked during the activity. This would help us overall by increasing productivity (if we know prior, don't have to figure out during activity) and letting us know what is wrong.
if im not doing what im suppoose to be doing i would like someone to tell me but in a nice way. if i was seeing someone who wasent doing wha they were suppose to i would probobly confront them. so maybe make me do more work i\so im not distracted.
I think that we should just discuss as a class (in a circle) about what values were implemented in what ever activity we did that day. We can talk about what we did or did not see occur from our Full Value Contract. Although flat out saying it may seem like a simpler solution, there are probably some people in class who would not appreciate people telling them what to do using a straight-forward attitude. By using the group discussion tactic, we can easily talk about what went on during class in a more organized way. -Priya Patel
At the end of each week, we should have a discussion in a circle and discuss if we felt the Full Value Contract was followed well that week or not. In addition, classmates should remind other classmates of the Full Value Contract if they're off task or violating the contract.
I think that we're all mature enough to just tell each other when they're not holding up their end of the bargain. We should all take into consideration that its not to upset the other person. also, in the working world this is how people will tell you you're not doing what you are supposed to do. -Kelsey Kobler
I think the best thing to do would be to discuss and reflect after every activity we do. This way we have a chance to see where we went wrong and how we can improve for next time. And if we discuss then you are able to see if you followed the contract and if not you can make sure next time you are doing the right things to stay true to the contact and follow through on your part to make the class successful. -Devin Mahoney
I think the way we go about discussing activities currently is very effective. In sitting in a circle, those who might feel uncomfortable speaking up in class feel more encouraged to do so. We are all able to see each other, thus enabling the class to gauge the reactions and sentiments of others more accurately. Through this debriefing times, we can discuss breaches of the contract in a friendly manner.
I really like what we have been doing so far. I think discussing after each activity, it really helps all of us see what we did good and what we can work on. It helps keep us on track and will help us learn from our mistakes. I also think it would be good if we all just tell each other when something isn't working. If we all are held accountable for our actions, our class will benefit from this and be able to complete the tasks easier. I think we could also periodicly talk about the contract and if we think we are following it or not. If we are, we could talk about how we can keep up the good work. If not, we can discuss what the issues have been and how we can fix them for the future. Ashley Kozanda
In order to keep us accountable, even more so than we already have, I think that there should be some kind of use for planning. We always have a good variety of ideas when trying to do the activities, but when it comes to executing successfully we always have problems! So maybe if there was a whiteboard to help organize our planning and such we could then recognize all ideas and execute the plans! With that, respecting each other comes a lot easier. Becca Tham
I think as of now we have really done a good job keeping to our contract and in order to continue the success I think as a group we should go over it more. Make sure the group really understands and remembers what exactly is on the contract and what we must to to stick to it.
