  1. I had an okay experience during this activity. Everyone was screaming so it was kind of hard to hear the people directing us, it was also pretty hot, for me at least, due to all the body heat. I don't think it ended up working out because we couldn't reach the area we wanted to reach before the bell rang. I think in order for it to work we all have to be quite so we can hear the people directing us. There also should be more then two people directing us. Maybe like three, one for the front, one for the middle, and one for the back

  2. This experience was interesting, to say the least. I had fun, but at the same time it was kind of frustrating. It was really difficult to coordinate as a class to get to a desired location because everyone was being really loud. I feel like if we were more quiet, we would've been able to get to the place you wanted us to. But everyone did try their best to listen and I think it was an accomplishment that we at least made it halfway. I also think that there should be more than two people guiding us so that they cover the whole amoeba. The coordinators should try to speak louder.

  3. This definitely could have worked if everyone had stayed quiet the entire time instead of screaming their heads off. But I have to admit that I was one of those people who wouldn't shut up and that made it all the more fun. And stressful. For most of the time I was in front and it was really helpful that I was guided and directed up front--not everyone was able to have this opportunity and because it was so loud they were probably all confused and befuddled. The leaders themselves were great though--the only problem was lack of effort from the people who were blindfolded to remain silent. I really wanted to go through the whole course but we moved too slow due to lack of communication.

  4. I really liked this activity. But everyone was talking so loud and I couldn't hear anything, which definitly tested my patience. I think we could've also moved a lot faster, but that would only work if people decided to cooperate. But I thought the leaders did really good in directing the class, and I trusted them. It was really fun, but frustrating at the same time.

  5. I enjoyed this activity. It really required a lot of teamwork and leadership by the two coordinators to get us through all the doors and up the stairs to the gym. However, everyone was being really loud, and this made it harder for the leaders to communicate to everyone what was ahead of us. Also, we didn't have the chance to finish the whole thing, and I think we could have finished faster if everyone just trusted in what the leaders were saying and if everyone actually listened instead. Overall, this activity was fun and required a lot of patience.

  6. Even though I wasn't able to be in class on Friday I thought this activity was a great way to use teamwork! It looked like it required a lot of patience from everyone! It looked like it took it was hard to hear the two leaders which probably made it a lot harder to accomplish the goal. I wish I could have been there it looked like a lot of fun!

  7. I enjoyed the activity overall. As one of the leader/coordinators I was stressed out because I was worried about making sure everyone felt comfortable and trusted what I was saying. If the class was quieter it would have been a lot easier to direct them and get them to know exactly what they need to do. I understand how stressed they must have been since they were all tied together for the whole period. It would also be helpful it there were more leaders to lead the class.

  8. I thought this activity was actually pretty fun and I thought it required a lot of teamwork, trust, and patience. I think we could have gotten through this activity faster and more efficient by listening better to the people in charge and by working as a team, not as individuals. It was really loud and chaotic during some parts of the activity and not everyone was listening to the leaders. I feel that if we all stayed quiet during the activity we would have been able to accomplish more during a shorter amount of time.

  9. First of all that video is hilarious. It makes me wish I had volunteered to be a leader so I could see everyone's faces. Although at this part of the activity seems very unorganized, overall, the leaders did a good job. As time went on we listened more to the leaders and got the hang of being squished and hot. The activity would have run more smoothly if everyone listened to the leader and did not yell. Even though we did not make it to our destination I think we still did good.

  10. I thought that the activity was cool when I first heard what we had to do, but then i kinda didn't like it. Everyone was loud and i couldn't hear the leaders who were trying there best to get us to where we were supposed to go. they tried to get us organized, but then people would get out of order and it became chaos, though i don't see how screaming really helped.I feel that if all of the class worked together silently and actually tried their hardest to get this activity done, we could have finished. By the end of this activity,i was frustrated.

  11. Everybody was too loud, and impatient, but I was just chillin patiently waiting to get it done. Everybody could of just raised their hands when they had a problem. That would solve communication skills, because we had two people with vision.

  12. I agree with amber the video was really entertaining! But the activity itself was painful. At first I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great teamwork activity but when I was in the front of the group it wasnt that much fun anymore. People didnt know when to move and I couldnt hear anything because everyone was talking, even I was talking when I shouldnt have been. No matter how loud assunta and casey were at giving us directions it was still hard to hear them. It was still a fun activity but wouldve went faster and more smoothly if everyone was quiet.

  14. this activity was really fun during this activity we were trying to get trough the door. to make it better we could have maybe been a lot quieter then we were and to make it better we could have all been in a straighter line then we were. i would say we need better communication and listening skills.

  15. I feel like Assunta's leadership worked really effective! You could really see that everyone could understand what needed to be done when she clearly described the surroundings and actions that needed to be taken. Casey had the right idea to get our focus to keep, but we still weren't really participating as a whole team. People were talking when we needed to listen.

  16. Overall I thought this activity was pretty fun. It was a little difficult to get everyone to do something together though, because everyone was talking and being loud. I think we did a pretty good job of working together because we were able to make it down the halls and up the stairs. I think if we were to do this again we would all need to be quiet and focused on what the leaders are saying.

  17. During this activity I feel as though a lot of people were yelling about random things and weren't paying attention to what our leaders were saying. That's why during the video a few people hit the door on their way through. However, I still think that it was a really fun and difficult activity to achieve. If we were to do this activity again, then we would all have to be more focused, and be able to think of a concrete plan to help everyone.

  18. I liked this activity, for the most part. Although at times it was frustrating, it was also an interesting way to gauge our group dynamic. For whatever reason, I kept pretty much silent throughout. This is odd for me, considering I rarely shut my mouth. I honestly think this was a good thing, though. Sometimes we all need to step back and observe rather than being the loud, assertive one all the time. This activity helped me a lot with that.

  19. That was horrible. We yelled and were distracted the whole time. The front kept on pulling and choking the back. There wasn't communication between the leaders and everyone was just bunched up. Maybe longer rope, more leaders, or no distractions like the random passing kids towards the end of the period. Basically, if we are to ever do this again, don't.

  20. I think everyone can agree on the fact that nobody could hear what was going on because there was so much yelling and ... moaning?? Its funny because we even addressed the fact that we'd have to stay quiet for this to work before we even started. I know I was pretty much silent the entire time unless I needed to tell someone something. I know it was a friday and we were all excited to go home, but I think the only real way we could have done this the right way is if the leaders took a little more control. I wouldn't have tried to talk or yell over everyone, I'd let them figure out that they wouldn't get any direction from me unless everyone was quiet and could hear me and understand.

  21. I thought the activity was really fun and i enjoyed it a lot we should be blindfolded more often, i think we did a good job because we got sort of far but it would have been a lot easier if it wasn't so loud. The only bad part is that it was so hot next time we should do it outside like on the bleachers or something.

  22. The activity would have worked better if everyone was more quiet, but it was hard stay quiet if you were blindfolded because we were bored, uncomfortable, and couldn't see or know our destination. I think if we were to try the activity again at the end of the year when people are more confortable with each other, this activity will work out much better.

  23. considering how large our class is, this activity worked exceptionally well. The leaders did exactly what they needed to to make sure we were all safe. I probably would have peaked if I wasn't blindfolded, so this boosted my trust levels with leaders I suppose. Overall I think it was a risky activity since we had to walk up the stairs in a large group blindfolded and I fall on the stairs just normally, but it proved to work well.
