What values/principles/characteristics, do you feel are important for us to have in our class to make things work for us. Please give at least 3 and why they are important to you. Example: Communication; without this it will be difficult for us to accomplish tasks and build relationships.
Leadership, compromising skills, and a positive attitude seem like the ingrediants for the recipe of success in this class. These are personally important for me because those help me to get things accomplished while working with other people.

I think that positivity, trust, and teamwork especially, are very important things that we need to accomplish everyday outdoor adventure tasks. These are important to me because because if we don't have any of these values, then no one will get along and we would struggle a lot.

I think that positivity, companionship, and perserverence are really important for this class. It always helps to be just a little positive in any situation because you never know what might happen. Companionship is also key because it helps to make things more fun. When I have friends, or make friends, in a class, it always becomes more fun and exciting. I think that you also work a lot better with people who are your friends than with people you don't really know. If you keep trying, you will get to the finish line, eventually. Perseverance is important, because it is better to get to the goal last, than to not get there at all. if you give up in the middle, what was the point in starting at all?

I think that teamwork, hard work, and leadership are important to make things work for us in this class. Without any of these, team building activities would be chaotic, and a team would not be able to achieve their goal. Also, a leader is needed to communicate things to everyone.
ReplyDeleteKaren Li
I think that positivity, teamwork, and cooperation with one another are what is important for our class to make things work. Without positivity, no one would be energized and everything would be so boring. Without teamwork, we'd never be able to work with one another and we need to work with one another if we're going to have to put our lives in another person's hands. Without cooperation, everything would be chaotic.

I think that, teamwork, collaboration, and support from our classmates are all key factors that will make things work better in class. Without any of these important characteristics, we will not be able to accomplish our goals as one. However, with these things, we will be able to gain the trust of our peers and also learn to depend on one another.

I think positivity, dedication, and teamwork are essential values. Without positivity we won't be able to accomplish a goal and feel successful after doing so. We need to be positive and excited to work as a team, so we can have fun and bond. Dedication is important because we all need to stay focused on achieving our own goals and try not to give up or back down when faced with a new challenge. Finally, teamwork is important because we need to work as one unit to accomplish all our goals. Teamwork will also help us work together and trust each other.

I think encouragement, positivity, and team work are all important values. Positivity helps everyone to feel as if they can succeed, if you are not positive then you most likely will fail. Encouragement would help everyone to reach their goals, if they know someone else believes in them it will help them believe in themselves too. Finally, team work is really imporatant because if we did not work together we would not be able to complete the activities.

A positive attitude is needed in order to really connect with other people and build strong relationships. Without it, we would have a very dull and boring class full of uncaring people. Happiness is what makes the world go round. Obviously trust is essential for our class, too, otherwise we'd all be big wimps when it comes to climbing and you're too afraid the other person supporting you is gunna drop you kaplat on the ground. But if we all trusted one another then we would be more willing to do some more of the serious concepts of climbing. Also we'll need open ears. If no one listens to each other then how can anyone expect to get anywhere? Like in the activities we've done in class, there have been problems where communication gets in the way and everyone just starts yelling at or over each other. Which is not a good thing. Obviously there's a bunch of things that we'll need to "make things work" in this class.

I think that positivity, support, and communication are needed to help make this class fun and successful. Positivity will help people enjoy the task and give them a good outlook on what the outcome may be. Support is needed inorder for everyone to feel comfortable and confident in this class. Communication will allow people to connect with each other and build the strong relatinoship that is needed.

I think cooperation, trust, and patience are key to making this class a productive and fun year. The class just would not function if people were not willing to cooperate with one another. Trust is also very important because with a lot of the activities in this class you have to have confidence in your peers. And last but not least patience is a very important skill to take with you to class because a lot of activities we do involve waiting for others to finish and being patient with our selves when things are not going the way we want them too.

I think positive attitude, trust, and communication are need.
ReplyDeletePositive attitude because lets face it if you have a negative attitude you won't even try therefore you wouldn't benefit from the class.
Trust because if you don't have trust in any of the people around you, you won't open up about yourself and let loose.
Communication because if we don't have this then we can't help support one another and get new ideas out in the open.
Dylan Hanson
I think trust, teamwork, and communication are essential to have fun and have better experiences. Without trust, everything will take longer and be harder to accomplish as a group. Teamwork allows us to use communication skills, in order to accomplish things quick and enjoy them.

Encouragement will be needed, because some people might not be as good at some activities as others will so encouraging them will help. Dedication is also important because somethings are gonna be difficult so you have to be persistent and not give up. Teamwork is also a good because some activities require a good team effort not just one person.
ReplyDeleteVlad Gheorghiu
Trust because we will need to give our lives into someone else's hands. Teamwork is a plus because once we start doing group activities (climbing) we will need to work together to get the objective done. And finally, positivity, because we need to be able to get the objective done thinking that it can be done, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. All of these mean the same thing to me: getting the job done and avoiding possible conflicts.

ReplyDeleteLeadership Is needed because without one person or a group of people telling the rest of us what to do, everyone will just be talking at the same time and it will be kaotic.
ReplyDeleteTrust will deffinetly be needed because you are putting your saftey into the hands of another person especially on the devils lake trip.
Communication is very important because to figure task out and climbing, the class needs to talk to one another to figure everything out.
~Alyssa Godek
i think we need to have team work because we all need to learn to work with eachother. and get along so we we can have fun in the class but most importanly feel comftroble. and sportsmanship so we can cheer each other on at whatever were doing!:)

Postivity: keeps everyone excited to do the activities so they go well
ReplyDeleteteamwork: without teamwork we would have chaos and not be able to accomplish the tasks given
trust: i think trust is the most important because if we cannot trust one another than nothing can go well and we cannot fullfill our potential in the activities.
Cristina Mursuli
I feel that (like many other people have already said) positivity and encouragement are very important to have during this class. It will keep people from feeling discouraged and help others get through tasks that might seem hard at first. Another thing is communication. During this class, we will need to be able to communicate with others to keep each other safe. This will be extremely important when we start to climb. Another thing is trust because we will all need to trust each other when we start to climb. We need to trust that our classmates will be able to keep us safe when we are climbing and vise-versa.
ReplyDeleteAshley Kozanda
I feel that communication is the single most important thing for our class to strive for. Except everyone already took that, so you should all be ashamed. Instead I will pick another word that means close to the same thing, because that's how I roll. Elucidation. Yeah that's right. We need to make our intentions clear to one another for the class to run smoothly. Another is perseverance. It's important that even when we do activities we don't particularly care for, we all push through as a class. Finally, trust. We need to be able to rely on one another and feel comfortable in order to have a positive class experience.

I would say encouragement, teamwork and cooperation are essential for this class. Encouraging other students is important because it'll help people go out of their comfort zone and unafraid participate in class. Also teamwork and cooperation will make sure everyone has a fun time and prevent injuries.
ReplyDeleteEmily Lee
I think trust, leadership, and positive attitude are needed in this class. Trust is important to me and would work well in this class because no one wants to be held 30 feet above the ground by someone you dont put your trust into. leadership is also important because without leadership, things arent organized and you dont want chaos in this class. lastly, positive attitudes are important because when most people in the class are happy, you tend to have the same attitude. without that, the whole class would just be mopey and you cant have that with some of the things were going to do this year.
ReplyDelete-zoe kempton
I think its important to have a positive attitude trust and teamwork positive attitude willmake the activities easier and more fun trust with help everyone bond and be able to successfully complete the activities as well as teamwork
ReplyDeletePatience, cooperation and communication are all really important because without patience you'll probably give up really early and not try your hardest. cooperation because you need to be able to work with everyone around you to accomplish your goal and communication is key so you know what everyone is thinking and you can come up with one solid plan that everyone is in on
ReplyDeleteabby tomaszewski
I thinkl teamwork, cooperation, participation and a good attitude are required skills. We all need to learn to respect eachother and our ideas.
ReplyDeleteSusmit Sukthankar
I believe listening is very important, as well as cooperation and Respect. If no one can listen to each other, there is no way we can get anything done. This is an essential part of cooperation, being able to work together.
ReplyDeleteAnthony Cairns
I think that communication, trust, and cooperation are key in this class. communication is needed to complete tasks, making sure the word gets out to everyone. trust is just a given, without trust you are missing the foundation of this class. Finally, cooperation is important because you need to be willing to try out new things or maybe just things you may not necessarily want to do. if you don't cooperate you're pretty much just annoying. sorry but its true
